NACPA OnDemand: Church HR and the Respect for Marriage Act as Law

This will be a special session of our OnDemand Discussion Series as we hear from three panelists regarding the passing of the Respect for Marriage Act and how it affects Church HR.

Our panelists will speak from the viewpoints of canon law, policy and procedure compliance and pastoral perspectives.

To enable our panelists to address the participants questions, at this session there will not be breakout rooms, as usual, but rather an ability to submit questions via chat and then a Q&A period at the end to address them.

The main questions to be addressed by the panelists are:

1. What are the compliance issues that our religious organizations will face?

2. How do we reconcile following federal law as well as church teachings when they conflict?

3. How do we continue to stay informed/educated on this issue?
