NACPA ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Tina Kohrmann of the Diocese of Belleville to Assume Leadership of National Association on July 1, 2026

The National Association of Church Personnel Administrators (NACPA) announced the appointment of Tina Kohrmann as Executive Director of the national organization effective July 1, 2026.

Tina Kohrmann currently serves as Director of Human Resources for the Diocese of Belleville and has been an active leader within NACPA for many years, including service on the Board of Directors and as President-Elect of the association.

The announcement was made by Dr. Regina Haney, who is retiring after more than 10 years as Executive Director of NACPA and more than five decades of national leadership in Catholic education and Church administration.

“In the years that I have worked with Tina Kohrmann through NACPA leadership and national programming, I have come to know her as an exceptionally gifted and faith-filled leader with remarkable professional expertise and a deep commitment to the mission of the Church,” Haney said. “Tina brings extensive experience in diocesan human resources administration, strong organizational leadership skills and a genuine understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Church organizations today.”

Haney added that Tina Kohrmann is highly respected by colleagues across the country for her integrity, collaborative spirit and dedication to promoting justice, professionalism and compassion in the workplace. “I am absolutely delighted that Tina has accepted this important leadership role and I am confident that NACPA’s future will be strengthened under her leadership,”  Haney said.

Kohrmann said she is honored by the appointment and enthusiastic about the future of the association, saying,  “I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to begin this new chapter of service to NACPA and the Church. For more than five decades, NACPA has provided leadership, professional formation and practical resources to those who serve dioceses, parishes, schools, religious communities and Catholic organizations throughout the country.

Kohrmann added, “I look forward to building upon the extraordinary foundation established by Regina and working closely with our members, board leadership and partners to continue expanding NACPA’s mission and outreach in service to the Church and its employees.”

Archbishop Edward Weisenburger of Detroit, Episcopal Moderator of NACPA, praised Tina Kohrmann’s appointment.

“Tina is an outstanding choice to lead the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators into the future,” Archbishop Weisenburger said. “She is widely respected for her professionalism, wisdom, leadership ability and deep commitment to the Church. I am confident that her vision and experience will open new opportunities for NACPA and strengthen its important mission in the years ahead.”

A parishioner of St. Boniface Parish in Germantown, Illinois, Tina and her husband, Jason Kohrmann, are the parents of Elijah, Sydney, and Alexandra. Tina received a B.S. in Business Administration (Human Resources) from Southern Illinois University, and an M.A., Human Resources Development & Management, from Webster University.

Archbishop Weisenburger also commended Regina Haney’s decade of service to the association: “On behalf of the bishops, members and friends of NACPA, I wish to express profound gratitude to Regina for her remarkable leadership,” Archbishop Weisenburger said. 

“Her dedication, vision, and steadfast commitment to the mission of the Church have strengthened this association immeasurably. Regina has guided NACPA through years of important growth and renewal while consistently advancing its mission of supporting justice, dignity and excellence in the Catholic workplace. Her contributions will continue to bless the organization for many years to come,” according to the Archbishop.

Founded in 1971, the National Association of Church Personnel Administrators serves dioceses, parishes, schools, religious communities and other Catholic organizations throughout the United States by providing education, resources, leadership development and professional support in the areas of human resources, personnel administration and organizational management.
